Curriculum Vitae

Florian Maillard

Systems Engineer | Scientific Computing | Energy Systems

Strasbourg, France

Profile

Engineer and PhD combining systems engineering, railway certification, verification and validation, electrochemical energy systems, multiphysics modelling, and scientific computing.

My work is centred on complex technical systems for which conclusions must be supported by traceable requirements, controlled data, and reviewable evidence. I combine domain analysis with Python automation, numerical modelling, and reproducible documentation methods.

Python is a major part of my engineering practice, both for scientific modelling and for engineering automation, data processing, testing, and technical tooling.

Working principles

I favour explicit assumptions, reviewable evidence, open formats, and tools that remain understandable after the immediate project has ended. I am most effective where technical depth, documentation, and automation need to work together rather than as separate activities.
